Dierks Bentley announces tour plans

Listen to Dierks Bentley on iHeartRadio

Dierks Bentley says he's "never been more excited about a tour."  The country star is planning to hit the road this spring behind his new album, Riser.

The singer says the trek will be "the culmination of everything" he's been doing over the past two years, both on the road and in the studio, and with his show he's "going big!"

Dierks explains that he knows fans attending his concerts expect a great performance at an affordable price along with "a good parking lot scene to get the pre-gaming going."  And he plans to deliver.

He's tapped Chris Young, Chase Rice, and Jon Pardi -- three singers Dierks says "know how to put on a great live show" -- to be his opener for most of the dates.

Specific details haven't been announce yet.  But Bentley will launch his "2014 Riser Tour" in Charlotte, North Carolina on May 9th.  Bentley's album "Riser" will be in stores on February 25th.
